In this regard, tornull.org has completed private research into .torrent traffic from our own Tor exit nodes. Whilst using a reduced exit policy does certainly prevent most .torrent traffic from exiting via an individual node - many 'dead' and live tracker requests are still forwarded for DNS resolution by Tor - particularly on tracker ports 80, 443 and 8080. Below is a list of .torrent tracker URLs which might be added to an exit nodes hosts file to effectively null route said trackers to the local host and so reduced the number of DMCA notifications etc.,
Note : We have only included dedicated .torrent tracker URL's on ports 80, 443 and 8080. Allowing Exit traffic for additional and/or common P2P tracker ports is not advised (i.e. TCP ports 451, 1337, 2710, 6969).
